Robert “Bobby” L. Riley, 70 years, of Quarryville, PA, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 in Hudleston, VA. Born January 31, 1954 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of Anna L. Riley of Colora, MD, and the late Robert Marion Riley.
Bobby was proud of his many years as a welder, foreman, and ironworker and was a life-member of the Ironworkers Local No. 451 of Wilmington, DE. He loved working in his yard (not a weed anywhere), feeding his squirrels, and his gun collection. He loved to go shooting, traveling, a good meal, and was known as the mayor of his Tanglewood neighborhood.
Bobby is survived by his sons, Jeremy Riley of Quarryville, PA, and Shaun Riley and wife, Necca, of Arizona; their mother, Melissa; one grandchild, Cody of Pittsburgh, PA; mother, Anna L. Riley of Colora, MD; and sister, Anita Casteel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in care of the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2024, 12 Noon, at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Rising Sun, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Charles Finney of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
