Joseph Luther Fadeley, Sr.

Joseph Luther Fadeley, Sr., 80 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at home. Born January 15, 1939 in Pulaski, VA, he was the son of the late Russell Franklin and Lelia Jane Havens Fadeley.

Mr. Fadeley was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Rising Sun American Legion Post No. 194 of Rising Sun, MD. He was formerly employed as a cable locator by the Armstrong Telephone Company of Rising Sun, MD.

Mr. Fadeley is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Norma Carol Fadeley; daughter, Carol Ann Fadeley Hovatter and husband, Chris; sons, Joseph L. Fadeley, Jr., and Gary A. Fadeley; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, George Fadeley and wife, Karen, of LaPlata, MD; sister, Polly G. Fadeley Bassford of Ocla, FL.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Fadeley was preceded in death by his daughter, Rose Marie Fadeley; brother, Frank Fadeley; and sister, Betty A. Fadeley D’Andelet.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 2, 2019, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Dave Landers of Gateway Baptist Church, Rising Sun, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Colora, MD.
