Esther Lowene Farmer Willen, 79 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born October 15, 1933 in Mountain City, TN, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Myrtle Taylor Farmer.
Mrs. Willen was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD, and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Perryville Fire Company of Perryville, MD. She is survived by her sons, Michael Ray Davis and wife, Vickie, and James Kevin Willen and wife, Debbie, all of Perryville, MD; grandchildren, Tiphanie and husband, Kevin, Ashley, Megan, Josh, Mary, Erik, Michael, Phillip; great grandchildren, Michael, Nevaeh, Jocelyn, Taylor, Jeslynn, Cassius; brother, William Farmer; and her many friends at Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Willen was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Willen; brothers, Edgar Farmer, Curtis Farmer, Clay Farmer, Gaither Farmer; and sister, Pansy Farmer Willien.

Memorial contributions may be made to Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center of Havre de Grace, MD, in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O.  Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.

Funeral services will be private.

I am so sorry to hear that Esther has passed. I always enjoyed her. I will never forget her and Lula, being so competitive with each other!!!!But they were good neighbors and helped each other. Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

I am so sorry about Mrs. Willen's passing. I remember when she first entered CCRC, she was sad and often cried. That stage didn't last long. I loved her and it seemed to make her smile. She made a lot of friends, especially her Roommate Ruby. She was loved by all. My God bless you and give you peace. She was a true lady and a privilage to have known her.
