Margaret Lindner Colgan, 78 years, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2018 in her home surrounded by family. She was born December 28, 1940 in Elkton, MD. She was the daughter of the late Ernst and Elizabeth McMath Lindner.

Margaret grew up in Bayside, NY, where she met her loving husband, John Colgan of 56 years. Loving mother of son, Christopher and wife, Beth, daughter, Kimberley (Chookie) and husband, Chris Feeney. Twin sister of Catherine Lindner Glynn, Godmother of Lori Martin Shiflett, and half-sister of Eric Lindner and Lisa Lindner Cheney. Proud grandmother of Lindsay, Ally, Johnny, Maeve, and Duncan. Preceded in death by her brother, George Lindner.

Margaret was a competitive Scottish Highland dancer and was very proud of her Scotch heritage. She was the co-owner/operator of the Twins Place sub shop of Rising Sun, MD, for twenty years. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, traveling, and spending summers at Rehoboth Beach. Everyone I am so sorry for your loss. What a great lady/mother/wife/sister I could list every time we gave your Mom a hard time but I am not sure there are enough characters on here.

Love,
Brian Lockhart

You all are in my prayers. I know from listening to Chook talk about her mom that she was an amazing, talented, loving mother and grandmother and she is going to be greatly missed. Thankful to know that I will one day get to meet her in heaven.

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
