Penny Lynn Bender

Penny Lynn Bender, 48 yrs., of Perryville, MD, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at home. Born January 26, 1975 in Ephrata, PA, she was the daughter of Margaret Heist and the late Richard Miller.

Penny loved her NHRA Drag Racing and her Racing family. She was a Driver and most of the time the crew chief on Bobs Stock Eliminator wagon. Penny loved hunting and fishing also.

Penny is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Robert J. Bender ( Bob) ; son, Zachary Trego; one grandchild; and brother, Brian Heist.

In addition to her father, Penny was preceded in death by her daughter, Brittany May.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, 12 Noon until 3 PM, at the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 located at 300 Cherry Street, Perryville, Maryland.
