Raymond William Adcock

Raymond William Adcock, 70 yrs, of Perryville, MD, passed away peacefully October 16, 2023 with his family lovingly by his side, following a battle with cancer. Ray was born September 22, 1953 in Camden, NJ.

Ray raised his family in Cherry Hill, NJ, and moved to Maryland in 2014. He was an associate with Integrity Real Estate, spent most of his working career as a realtor, helping many families find their forever homes in his classic ‘Ray way.’ He was always quick with a joke, a smile, and a wink. If you ever met Ray, there’s a good chance you became friends. Everyone who knew Ray felt his love and acceptance. Ray seemed to know everyone and made time for anyone. He always enjoyed a good brew at a local brewery or a glass of wine on any occasion. He enjoyed good music, fishing and loved to travel.

Ray is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lynn Adcock nee Dorning; daughter, Amie Calia nee Adcock (Chris Calia) of Lake Worth, FL; son, Greg Adcock (Kelsey Dietrick) of Ambler, PA; brother, Tom Adcock (Connie Adcock); sister, Debbie Mackin; and his little dog, Ginger.

Ray was the modern-day George Bailey of It’s a Wonderful Life , with the exception that he knew his life was wonderful and well-lived. He had a great appreciation for everyone he met and interacted with.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, 12 Noon until 2 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Interment will be private.
