Alva Locke (Youngblood) Gross

Alva Locke Gross, 77 yrs, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at her home in Elkton, MD. Born August 22, 1939 in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Leona Shingler Youngblood. Mrs. Gross is survived by her husband, Robert John Gross of Elkton, MD; daughters, Lynn Muska-Poole (Steve) and Debra Clark; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Youngblood, William Youngblood, John Youngblood, Tom Youngblood; and sisters, Shirley Harry and Sandy Luther. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gross was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Youngblood. She knew, as do we, the most important things on earth are love, faith and salvation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or the 700 Club in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. A gathering will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017, 2 PM until 6 PM, at the family home located in Elkton, MD.
