Angelina Elizabeth (Saponaro) Kopatch

Angelina Elizabeth Saponaro Kopatch April 24, 1925 - April 18, 2017

Angelina Elizabeth Saponaro Kopatch, daughter of Michael and Mary Saponaro, passed away peacefully in her home six days prior to her 92nd birthday. She was a lifelong resident of Perryville, and a lifelong parishioner of Good Shepherd Church. Angelina was a devoted mother, an expert seamstress, an avid gardener, and an outstanding cook. She cherished all the children in her life, as a Kindergarten aide, and later as a grandmother and even a great-grandmother.

Angelina was predeceased by her brothers Dominic and Frank, and her sisters Josephine and Marguerite, and is survived by her daughters Donna, Tammy, Nadine, Monica, and Anita, and her sons Greg and Mark. She was blessed with thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Church in Perryville, MD on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:00am, and a reception will immediately follow at the American Legion of Perryville. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Angelina's name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
