Ardith Nell Evans

Ardith Nell Evans, 90 years, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 in the Autumn Lake Healthcare at Calvert Manor of Rising Sun, MD. Born October 23, 1934 in Grassy Creek, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Wallace Mullins and Edith Louise Haynes Hudler.

Nell very much enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She was formerly employed by the Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, as a supply clerk. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Darnell Mengel and husband, David E. Gary; grandsons, Michael C. Mengel, Matthew B. Mengel, and Michell A. Mengel; and sisters, Jacqueline Sue Lint and husband, Paul, and Anita Loraine Greene and husband, Terry.

In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Lane Henry Evans, Sr., and son, Lane Henry Evans, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
