Benita Post

Benita "Anna" Post, 83 years, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at home. Born January 4, 1942 in Moca, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Juan Salas Gonzalez and Maria Luisa Hernandez Hernandez.

Benita is survived by her son, Albert “Al” Post; daughters, Linda Post, Edna Reilly, and Nancy Hurst; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and siblings, Pablo Salas, Juan J. Salas, Jr., Francisco Salas, Jose’ L. Salas, Hector Salas, Edwin Salas, Julio Salas, Raul Salas, Heriberto Salas, and Eleuteria Salas.

In addition to her parents, Benita was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Joe Post; brother, Carlos Salas; and sisters, Carmen Salas and Maria Salas.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2025, 5 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025, 3 PM until 5 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery of Owings Mills, MD, Monday, October 20, 2025, 10 AM.
