Betty Margaret Moore

Betty Margaret Moore, 83 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family.  Born January 7, 1928, in Waynesboro, PA, she was a daughter of the late Earl H., Sr. and Mabel Newcomer Welty. Mrs. Moore was a member of the First Baptist Church of Havre de Grace, MD, and was formerly employed by the Susquehanna Metal Box Company of Havre de Grace, MD, as a machinist. She is  survived by her daughters, Hope M. Russell, and companion, Bob Ward, Perryville, MD, and Susan M. Tyrol, and husband, Doug, Havre de Grace, MD; three grandchildren, Melissa D. Beard, Perryville, MD, James P. Russell, Jr., and wife, Laura, Elkton, MD, Christine N. Heintz, and husband, Greg, Perryville, MD; five great grandchildren, Brittany N. Beard, Samantha S. Slicer, Brandon J. Beard, Sierra A. Johnson and Logan J. Russell; one great great grandchild, Xavier K. Parsons; sisters, Annabelle Roof, Ethel Boyer, Josephine McCleaf, Sylvia Gardenhour, Helen Kreitz, Lois Roher, Dorothy Freeman, and Faye Ranck. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Moore; infant son, Gary Earl Welty; son-in-law, James P. Russell, Sr.; sister, Lulu McCarney; and brother, Earl H. Welty, Jr. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Aberdeen, MD, or an organization of your choice. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, 2011, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2011, 6 pm - 9 pm, at the funeral home.  Rev. G. Neale Wirtanen, Jr., of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Aberdeen, MD, will officiate.  Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD. Pallbearers are James P. Russell, Jr., Brandon J. Beard, Doug Tyrol, Bob Ward, Greg Heintz, and Bill Patterson. Arrangements by Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.
