Carl R. Leroy

Carl R. LeRoy, 76 yrs, of Conowingo, MD, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD, after losing his battle with a long-term illness. Carl was born in Plymouth, PA, on May 14, 1936 and after graduating from high school he spent 16 years in the military. During that time he married Nancy Fassett on April 15, 1958. After moving to Maryland he was employed by the former Chrysler plant in Newark, DE, where he retired after 22 years. Carl was preceded in death by his first son, Carl LeRoy, Jr., infant, as well as his two grandchildren, Brianna M. Bratton, infant, and Shannon M. Wyatt, 20 yrs. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy M. LeRoy; five children, Diana Ashley and Steven LeRoy both of Conowingo, MD, Penny Keller of Rosedale, MD, Lesley Parker of North East, MD, and Mark LeRoy of Townsend, DE; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 22, 2013, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 22, 2013, 10 AM until 11 AM. Public visitation will begin at 11 AM. Father Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, will officiate.
