Carl David Winkler

Carl David Winkler, 71 years, of Colora, MD, formerly of Bel Air, MD, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Born December 5, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Carl and Dorothy Kerns Winkler. Carl was retired from the Harford County Public Schools and worked at Cecil College of North East, MD. He had a passion for trains, especially model trains, and loved camping and fishing, but was happiest when spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara Muir Winkler of Colora, MD; daughters, Elizabeth Gullion and husband, Brian, Heather Van Bergen and husband, Bernie, Kelly Pauley and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Christian, Ari, Ethan, Nicholas and Zachary; and brother, G. Scott Winkler. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Hall.
