Carol Lee (Reeves) Phipps

Carol Lee Reeves Phipps, 67 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Saturday, November 26, 2011, in Citizens Care Center, Havre de Grace, MD.  Born June 27, 1944, in Elkton, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Herbert and Ethel Irene Sharon Reeves. Carol is survived by her sons, Charles Edward Burns, Jr., of Port Deposit, MD, Michael Wayne Burns of Aberdeen, MD, Steven Bradley Burns of Conowingo, MD; Tammy Lee Rakes of Rising Sun, MD, Veronica Lee Mick of Panama City, FL; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, James A. Reeves, Sr., Gary Wayne Reeves, Mark Tracy Reeves, Gilbert Laverne Reeves, all of Maryland; sisters, Gail Lynn Ewing, Martha Jean Conners, Robin Ellen DeSmith, Donna Kay Cebula, all of Maryland, and Della Mae Copper of Florida. In addition to his parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Kelsey “Ben” Elsworth Phipps, and sister, Trudy Kay Hill. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2011, 11AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011, 7 PM - 9 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Jim Reeves of State Line Baptist Church of Rising Sun, MD, will officiate.
