Carroll R. Carr, known as “EEL”, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his residence in Rising Sun, MD. Carroll was married 51 years to JoAnn Smith Carr and was born to the late Nelson and Ethel E. Kauffman Carr on December 2, 1940. In addition to his parents, Carroll was also preceded in death by eleven brothers, sisters, niece and grandson, Bret Carr. Carroll left behind his wife, JoAnn; three children, Lisa Carr, Michael Carr and Dottie Rudasill; seven grandchildren, Michael Reynolds, Jr., Christina Laycock, Michael Rudasill, Jr., Shawn Rudasill, Brittany Carr, Miranda Rudasill; five great grandchildren, Dottie Reynolds, Ally and Kenidy Royer, Ronan and Rory Laycock, and one on the way; siblings, Robert Carr, Jerry Carr, Diane Funk and Carolyn “Dolly” Brinn; as well as nieces and nephews. Carroll was a lifelong waterman, builder, and contractor specializing in preservation and renovations of older homes. Carroll was a loyal, caring, loving, hardworking, trustworthy, faithful family man and a friend who would lend a hand to anyone in need and will truly be missed by all. No funeral service will be held as per Carroll’s wishes. There will be a celebration of his life at the home of his daughter, Dottie, in Rising Sun on Saturday, September 28, 2013, 1 PM.
