Catherine Ruth (Jahr) Kelly

Catherine Ruth Jahr Kelly, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on March 13, 2024. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was a beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Howard A. Kelly, Sr., her sons, Howard Kelly, Jr. and his wife Barbara, Paul Kelly and his wife Marie, and Scott Kelly and his wife Lisa. She is also survived by grandchildren, Evan, James, April, Timothy and Thomas, as well as 6 great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be on Monday, March 18, 2024, 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Port Deposit, MD. Funeral service will be conducted immediately afterward on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Colora, MD. Dr. Harold Phillips will conduct the service.
