Charles Louis Burkart

Charles Louis Burkart, 73 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD. Born January 5, 1944 in Denver, CO, he was the son of the late Bernard and Rosemary K. Burkart. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Good Shepherd Parish having attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD. He was a 26 year retiree of the Baltimore City Police Department, Baltimore, MD. Charles is survived by his wife, Juanita Dade Burkart of Port Deposit, MD; sons, Clifford Burkart of Peoria Heights, IL, and Bryan Burkart of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD  21903-0766. A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2017, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Deacon Luke Yackley of Good Shepherd Parish, Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be private.
