Charles “Amey” Gosden Todd, 86 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Monday, May 23, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born November 28, 1929 in Perryville, MD, he was the son of the late Elbert W. and Marguerite Arbaugh Todd.
Amey was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company, the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, and the V.F.W. Post No. 8126 of Havre de Grace, MD.
Amey is retired from the Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, where he was employed as a Civilian Gunner. He is survived by his son, Jeffery W. Butler; daughters, Luerena K. Daugherty and Kathleen E. Todd; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Lester Todd; and sister, Sue Stern.
Amy was preceded in death by his wife, Jane J. Butler Todd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 2016, 11 AM, at the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company of Perryville, MD. Visitations for family and friends will be held Friday, May 27, 2016, 2 PM until 4 PM and 7 PM until 9 PM, at the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
