Charles "Pepper" Lewis Martin

Charles “Pepper” Lewis Martin, 80 years, of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at his home. Born March 16, 1937 in Perry Point, MD, he was the son of the late Roger Stephen and Margaret Mary Ebner Martin. Pepper was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served from 1957 until 1963. He was retired from the Maryland State Police, Thiokol, and the Chesapeake Bay Golf Course. Pepper is survived by his wife, Barbara Joan Martin of Elkton, MD; sons, Charles “Chuck” Martin II and wife, Tracie, and Kerry Jay Martin; and grandson, Charles “Chuckie” Martin III. In addition to his parents, Pepper was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Martin and sisters, Frannie Bell and Alice Hickey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Exceptional Care for Children in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
