Charles Wesley Sanders, Jr.

On Thursday, April 7, 2011, Charles Wesley Sanders, Jr., passed peacefully at 1:50 pm in the presence of his son, Christopher, at the Perry Point Veterans Hospital after battling Dementia/Alzheimer’s. Born on July 19, 1926, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Charles Wesley Sanders, Sr., and Lillie Mae Sanders.  Survivors out of six siblings includes a brother, Wayne F. Sanders, Sr., of Hazelwood, Missouri, and a sister, Ermal V. Chapman, of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Charles is also survived by his son and caregiver, Christopher Wade Sanders, son Charles Wesley Sanders, III, and three daughters, Patricia Lee Aldridge, Amie Lynn Rankin, Diane Marie Carr.  Charles also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. Our beloved father will join his cherished mother and father and much loved sisters and brother and Mother earth to complete the Circle of Life. Private services will be held for Charles Wesley Sanders, Jr., throughout the country by his family members and friends. Charles’ final resting place will be Maryland pending arrangements to be made by his son, Christopher. Please let any memorials go to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Lee A.
