Christopher Laird Follett

Christopher Laird Follett, 83 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 in the Laurelwood Healthcare Center of Elkton, MD. Born August 4, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Harry Graham and Betty Jane Davis Follett.

Mr. Follett attended the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church of Bowie, MD. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD, and a member of the Bowie Coin Club. He was a retired District of Columbia K-9 Police Officer of Washington, D.C.

Mr. Follett is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bonita Kathryn Arlet Follett; son, Shawn Christopher Follett; daughters, Tara Lyn Follett Warren, Rachel Elizabeth Follett Beers, and Kathryn Arlet Follett Humphreys; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brother, Harry Joe Follett.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Follett was preceded in death by his brother, David Follett.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, 10:30 AM, at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, 16010 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715. Pastor Mark Lehmann of the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
