Clara Tome Spencer

Clara Tome Spencer, 94 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 in Calvert Manor Health Care Center of Rising Sun, MD. Born February 10, 1922 in Port Deposit, MD, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R., Sr. and Martha Brown Miller Tome. Mrs. Spencer was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church of Port  Deposit, MD. She was formerly employed by the Donaldson Brown Center also of Port Deposit, MD. Mrs. Spencer is survived by her sons, Donald W. Spencer of North East, MD, Michael D. Spencer of North East, MD, Tracy Spencer Jr., of Elkton, MD; daughters, Judy S. Dawson of Rising Sun, MD, and Norma J. VanDyke of Elkton, MD; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy Spencer; brothers, Samuel R. Tome Jr., and Robert L. Tome; and sister, Martha T. Burlin. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
