Daniel Leon Wilson

Daniel Leon Wilson, Sr., 81 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at his residence. Born January 23, 1935 in Hampton, VA, he was the son of the late Tony and Essie Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD. He is survived by his son, Daniel L. Wilson, Jr., of Port Deposit, MD; daughters, Joy E. Reding of North East, MD, and Tanya Riddle of Bridgeport, CT; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Henry Wilson, Tony Wilson, Abraham Wilson, Samuel Wilson, Clarence Wilson, David Wilson, Clifton Wilson; and sisters, Bertese Booker and Estella Richardson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Wilson. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2017, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017, 6 PM until 8PM, at the funeral home.  Bishop Claude D. Waldon, Sr., will officiate. Interment will be private.
