David Talmadge “Tom” Rigney, 91 yrs, of Havre de Grace, MD, died Monday, February 23, 2015 in the V.A. Maryland Health Care System of Perry Point, MD. Born March 31, 1923 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late David T., Sr. and Hilda Rigler Rigney.
Tom was the owner/operator of Mar-Lee Coffee Service, Inc., of Havre de Grace, MD. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II.
Tom was the oldest boy of seventeen children and is survived by his daughters, Marsha Tepper and Brenda Miller; grandchildren, Kimberly Demers (Cyrille), Stephen Tepper, Shawn Miller (Amanda), David Miller; great grandchildren, Ashley Tepper, Cameo Tepper, Aubrey Miller, Logan Miller; brothers, Phillip, John, Thomas; and sisters, Betty Naill, Jane Mandris, Barbara Turner and Kathleen Smith.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita J. Rigney, and son, Stephen David Rigney.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2015, 2 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Jim Ditto of Grace Methodist Church of Aberdeen, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
