Debra Ann (Price) Scantick

Debra Ann Price Scantick passed away peacefully Saturday, July 20, 2024, at her home in Perryville, MD, surrounded by love. Born June 16, 1956, in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Norman W. Price, Sr., and Shirley R. Hagen Price.

A graduate of Havre de Grace High School, Debbie pursued various fields of employment throughout her life. She was a proud member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 and the Weedon Elliot Post No. 8126. Her most cherished activities were traveling with her late husband, George M. Scantick, Sr., during his military career and being a mother. Debbie often shared fond memories from her life such as making mud pies as a little girl with her sisters and spending time at her late grandparents’ restaurant, Price’s Seafood, of Havre de Grace, MD.

Debbie is survived by her children, Tony M. Scantick (Lorena) of Utah and Dominique N. Hughes (Cody) of Maryland; three precious granddaughters, Savannah N. Alcala of KS, Harper A. Hughes and Sienna P. Hughes of MD; and siblings, Catherine L. Bloom (Ronald), Sandra L. Lowery (Jerry Wayne), Norman W. Price, Jr. (Kitty) and David R. Price (Karen).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Debbie’s memory to the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135, P.O. Box 98, Perryville, MD 21903.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 25, 2024, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
