Dixie Lee Bodkin

Dixie Lee Bodkin, 72 yrs, of Havre de Grace, MD, died Thursday, January 19, 2012, in Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born July 22, 1939, in Columbus, NE, she was the daughter of the late John Ernst and Grace Ida Ernst Gertsch. Mrs. Bodkin was a member of the Havre de Grace United Methodist Church of Havre de Grace, MD, was formerly employed as a Radiological X-Ray Technician by Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD, and the Sadowski Surgical Associates of Havre de Grace, MD. Mrs. Bodkin is survived by her son, Richard L. Greider, Jr., of Darlington, MD; daughter, Susan A. Greider of Havre de Grace, MD; son-in-law, John D. Terrell, II; and grandson, Jason A. Childress. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bodkin was preceded in death by her husband, Glessnor “Les” Bodkin. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Humane Society of Fallston, MD, or to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, 2012, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Norman Obenshain of the Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, Havre de Grace, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
