Donald Raymond Hamilton

Donald Raymond Hamilton, 88 years, of Rising Sun, MD, died Friday, March 30, 2012 in Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD.  Born July 7, 1923 in Rockwood, PA, he was the son of the late George and Alma Fritz Hamilton. Donald was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD, a member of the Maryland State Police Alumni Association and a W.W. II veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his sons, Todd Hamilton of Rising Sun, MD, Anthony W. Hamilton of Havre de Grace, MD; daughter, Rebekah L. Hamilton of Woodstock, VA; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister, Betty Cosgrove. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Louise Atkinson Hamilton; son, Raymond Hamilton; and two brothers, William Hamilton and Richard Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Lighthouse Christian Academy Scholarship Fund in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 1 PM, at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 12 Noon until 1 PM, at the church prior to the funeral service.  Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of Pleasant View Baptist Church will officiate.
