Donald "Duck" Kirk Towson

Donald “Duck” Kirk Towson, 86 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the University of Maryland Medical Center of Baltimore, MD. Born June 21, 1926 in Castleton, MD, he was the son of the late Harold Kirk and Bessie Irene Poteet Towson. Mr. Towson was a Tool and Supply Specialist employed by the Department of the Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, MD. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having service during W.W. II.  Mr. Towson was a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, Maryland, a member of the North East V.F.W. Post No. 6027, and Commandant of Marine Corp League for two years. Mr. Towson is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bernedette Grove Towson of Perryville, MD; son, Robert Kirk Towson and wife, Marguerite, of Perryville, MD; daughters, Vivian Ann Dobson and husband, Michael, Gloria Lee Meehan and husband, Joseph Robert, all of Havre de Grace, MD, Patricia Lynn Chernick and husband, Julian, of Bel Air, MD; eight grandchildren, Jason Michael Dobson, Tracy Renee Dobson, Christopher Lee Addicks, Anthony James Meehan, Cynthia Lynn Meehan, Angela Marie Fleming, Nicole Chernick, Jared Chernick; five great grandchildren, Michael Logan Jankowiak, Zachary Joseph Meehan, Ethan James Meehan, Adam Kirk Fleming and Alexander Wilkus. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD, in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 15, 2012, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012, 7 PM until 9 PM, at the funeral home. Rev. Paul Grant of Camp Chapel, Perry Hall, MD will officiate.
