Donald Meck

Donald Meck, 87 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center of Havre de Grace, MD. Born December 5, 1926 in Port Deposit, MD, he was the son of the late Mary Amelia Meck. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was formerly employed by the former Wiley Manufacturing Company of Port Deposit, MD, the State of Maryland, and the Marshall Bus Company of Port Deposit, MD. He is survived by his son, Gary Wayne Meck of Carthage, TX; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Meck, John Meck; and sister, Betty Meck. In addition to his mother, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lillian Lynch Meck; and brother, Francis Meck. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 25, 2014, 1 PM, at Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014, 11 AM until 1 PM, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of Pleasant View Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
