Dorothy (Jackson) Brown

Dorothy Jackson Brown went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Calvert Health Care Center. Born on October 19, 1915 in Port Deposit, MD. Daughter of the late Eva McNamee and Howard Jackson. She had been a resident of Golden Legends Assisted Living, Port Deposit, MD unitl her recent illness.                                                                                                                                                        Dot is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer (Bing) Brown and granddaughter, Wendy Jayne Brannan and ten siblings. She is survived by daughter Shirley Jayne Brannan Sentman and husband Rodney. Grandson Scott Brannan and wife Dorothy, great grandsons, Jack and Matthew Brannan, Athens, Al and sister Vivian J. Burling, Elkton, MD. Dot was proud to acknowledge Kerry and Walter Abrams, Carrie and Joel McCall and sons Tyler and JC as part of her loving family. Dot was a current member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and former member of Tome Memorial United Methodist Church, Port Deposit. Her dedication to both churches was tireless. Dot was a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Water Witch Fire Co.- volunteering her services to support this fire department. Well know for her baking skills- all who knew her have partaken of her baked goods. She enjoyed gardening, taking pride in her flowers and roses. Her love of family heirlooms were displayed with pride in her home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Churhc and Water Witch Fire Co. in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, 2011, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011, 7-9 PM, at the funeral home.  Rev. Dr. Jay Bunting of the Hopewell United Methodist Church will officiate.  Interment will be in Hopewell  Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD. Arrangements by Lee A.
