Dorothy Reatha Nickle

Dorothy Reatha Nickle, 91 years, of Perryville, MD, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, in Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born February 20, 1920, in Perryville, MD, she was a daughter of the late Annie E. Barrow Boyd and step-daughter of the late Jefferson Boyd. Mrs. Nickle was employed in food services and is survived by her daughters, Janice F. Gilbert of Perryville, MD, and Dorothy E. Bryant of Port Deposit, MD; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Jean F. Blakeley of Colora, MD, Patricia M. Johnson of Sanford, FL, and RoseAnn Thomas of Elkton, MD. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nickle was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Nickle; son, Robert C. Nickle, Jr.; brothers, Jefferson “Milton” Boyd, John Benjamin “Benny” Boyd; and sister Louilla McCummins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rising Sun Church of God, in care of Lee A. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 22, 2012, 11 AM, at the Rising Sun Church of God, Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012, 7 PM – 9 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Pastor Mary Dye of the Rising Sun Church of God, Port Deposit, MD, will officiate.
