Edith Jeanette Hodges

Edith Jeanette Hodges, 82 years, of Perryville, MD, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 30, 2018 in the University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD, following a long illness. Born August 20, 1936 in Port Deposit, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel and Lillian Rebecca Clark Hodges. Edith leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jerome Melvin Hodges; daughter, Jacqueline Annette Tome; two grandchildren, Natasha and Ashley Clark; five great-grandchildren, Harmony West, Armani and Amaiya Williams, Dayanna and Sincere McCauley; brother, Henry L. Hodges, Sr.; sisters, Evelyn Rebecca Holmes, Mary Elizabeth Hodges, Edna L. Hodges Amaro; sister-in-law, Patricia E. Hodges; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her brothers, John Daniel Hodges, Jr. and Edward William Hodges; sisters, Clarissa and Grace Ann Hodges; and her loving aunt, Margaret Jeanette Coursey. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 9, 2019, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019, 11 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the memorial service. Interment will be in Cokesbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
