Ellen Coulson (Merriman) Johnson

Ellen Coulson Merriman Johnson, 62 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in Transitions Healthcare of Elkton, MD. Ellie was born January 5, 1955 in Baltimore, MD. Ellie is a graduate of Woodlawn Senior High School Class 1973. She loved socializing and animals, especially horses. She enjoyed going to movies and teas with friends, and was warmly loved by the members of her church family at Pleasant View Baptist Church. A genuine follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, she had a tremendous, compassionate servant’s heart, which was made clear in her efforts to teach young people, shelter animals, and care for loved ones. She is survived by her son, Robert Lane Johnson; sister, Carolyn Diane Merriman-Foy; and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 19, 2017, 11 AM, at the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of Pleasant View Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in  West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
