Ernest C. Miller

Ernest C. Miller, 77 years, of Conowingo, MD, passed away peacefully Friday, September 4, 2026.

Ernie was a Vietnam veteran having served from 1966 until 1972 in the United States Army. He was retired from the Perry Point VAMC, a life member of the North East V.F.W. Post No. 6027, and was a former Commander of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No.135 of Perryville, MD.

Ernie was a former volunteer for the Northern Region Crime Scene Search Team and volunteered as fire police for the Perryville Fire Company. He enjoyed woodworking and collecting clowns. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah, of Conowingo, MD; son, Christopher Miller (Julia) of Port Deposit, MD; daughter, Melanie Hickman (John) of Charlestown; son, Shawn Miller (Debra) of Rising Sun, MD; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, James Dashler (Maria) of New York and William Weasonforth of New York; and many nieces and nephews.

We are gathering to celebrate Ernie’s wonderful life and would love for family and friends to drop by Saturday, September 26, 2026, 1 PM until 4 PM, 14 Arc Drive, Conowingo, MD. Military honors will take place at 2 PM. No formal service or program, just good company, memories, and light refreshments.
