Ethel "Masie" Mae (Dawson) Polk

Ethel “Masie” Mae Polk, 75 years, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at the University of Maryland, Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD. Born September 1,1946 in Perryville, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Bernhard and Pearl Blansfield Dawson.

Masie was formerly employed by the Saks Fifth Avenue Warehouse of Aberdeen, MD. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Daniel Polk, Sr.; son, Danny Polk, Jr., and wife, Kathy; daughters, Shelley Green and husband, Bill, Patty Saylor and husband, Matt, Kim Baker and Tracy Polk; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Hugh Dawson and George Dawson; sisters, Barbara Natoli, Mary Ellen Shankland and Carrie Broth.

In addition to her parents, Masie was preceded in death by her son, J.R. Locke; brothers, David Dawson, Jerry Dawson and Jack Dawson.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 14, 2022, 2 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, 1 PM until 2 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
