Ethel May (Shiplet) Jackson

Ethel May Shiplet Jackson, 92 yrs, of Conowingo, MD, died Saturday, September 3, 2011, in Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center, Havre de Grace, MD.  Born February 17, 1919, in Elkton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Luther and Mattie Morris Shiplet. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Port Deposit, MD, and is survived by her son, W. James Jackson, Fairview, TN; daughters, Janet L. Peffers, Perryville, MD, Nancy L. McCuiston, Rowlett, TX, Alice G. Pope, North East, MD, Ethel M. Pierce, Moneta, VA, Linda L. Branscome, Aberdeen, MD and W. Jean Huffman, Fairview, TN; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and sister, Gertrude Orr, Apex, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Jackson; son, Ralph C. Jackson, brothers, B. Shiplet and Warfield Shiplet; and sister, N. Leona Sexton. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2011, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011, 7 PM - 9 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Dennis Watson of Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD. Arrangements by Lee A.
