Evangeline Margarile (Hess) Ratledge

Evangeline M. Ratledge, 97 yrs, of Conowingo, MD, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 15, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born February 23, 1918 in Honaker,VA, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Minnie Hess. Mrs. Ratledge is survived by her sons, James W. Ratledge and Jack Ratledge, both of Conowingo, MD; daughters, Mary Jean Roberson of Conowingo, MD, Janette Ratledge of Sarasota, FL, Judy Ann Sparling of Fort Myers, FL, and Joann Dalton of Port Deposit, MD; sisters, Audrey (Lou) Hess of Milan, IL, and Mary Ellen Miller of Honaker, VA. Mrs. Ratledge was preceded in death by her loving husband, John F. Ratledge; beloved son, Johnny C. Ratledge; sisters, Betty Hinderliter and Cordelia Combs; brothers, Arthur Hess, Dave Hess, Jr., Clarence Hess, Clyde Hess, Ervin Hess and Fayte Hess. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Interment was in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
