Evelyn Delores Mcmullen

Evelyn D. McMullen, 81 yrs, of Port Deposit was called home on October 22, 2016. Born April 2, 1935 in Bel Air, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roy M. and Mary A. Gullion and the wife of 52 years to the late Harry L. McMullen. Mrs. McMullen was a life-long homemaker and child care giver. Known as “Miss Evie” by the countless children she cared for over the years. Her passion was spending time with family and friends hosting numerous gatherings. Mrs. McMullen is survived by a son, Russell K. McMullen and wife, Laura, of North East; daughters, Linda D. Wilson of Port Deposit, Denise A. Thomas and husband, Lynn, of Conowingo, Cathy M. Brown of Nottingham, PA, Mary M. Haglauer and husband, John, of Perryville; grandchildren, Debra L. Casamassina and husband, Ralph, Charlie Ziolkowski and fiance’, Stephanie, Ryan Ziolkowski, Christopher Brown, Brandon Thomas and fiance’, Nicole Amig, Megan Meseke and husband, Paul, Nathan Brown, Joseph Derrickson, Jonathan Haglauer and Katelyn Derrickson; siblings, Wanda Richardson, Frank Gullion and wife, Patricia, Alvin Gullion, Aubrey Gullion, Hazel Evans, Ronnie Gullion and wife, Judy; three great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McMullen was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Gullion and sister, Daisy Harris. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, 2016, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
