Evelyn "Boots" (Pierce) Sharpless

Evelyn "Boots" Pierce Sharpless, 84 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her residence. Born August 12, 1930 in Liberty Grove, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Luther and Lora Eveanna Abrams Pierce. Boots was formerly employed as a bookkeeper by the Harrington Body Shop of Rising Sun, MD, for several years. She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Sharpless of Perryville, MD; sons, Jerry W. Brown of Perryville, MD, and Michael B. Brown of Rising Sun, MD; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Manly Pierce; and sister, Fern Trimble. In addition to her parents, Boots was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Theresa Marlene Brown; brothers, Gerald Pierce and Howard Pierce; and sister, Naomi Perry. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 12 Noon until 1 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Corey Sharpe of the Hopewell United Methodist Church of Havre de Grace, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
