Evelyn Corine (Wright) Owens

Evelyn Corine Owens, 77 yrs, of Elkton, MD, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at Calvert Manor Health Care System, Rising Sun, MD.  Born September 3, 1933, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Pearl Williams Wright. Mrs. Owens was a homemaker and member of the Glasgow Baptist Church of Newark, Delaware, and is survived by her sons, William K. Owens and Roger L. Owens, both of Elkton, MD; daughter, Melissa T. Owens, Chambersburg, PA; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and brother, Wilbur Wright. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her son, Richard W. Owens; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 17, 2011, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2011, 11 AM - 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.  Pastor Dr. William Grant Nelson of the Glasgow Baptist Church of Newark, Delaware, will officiate.   Interment will be in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD. Arrangements by Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.
