Frances Young Gehring

Frances Young Gehring, 92 years, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in the Christiana Care Christiana Hospital of Newark, DE. Born September 29, 1930 in Maryland she was the daughter of the late John William and Marie Anna Denson Young.

Mrs. Gehring was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD. She is survived by her son, David G. Gehring of North East, MD, and sister, Shirley Schulte.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gehring was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gehring; brothers, John W. Young, Jr., Louis Henry Young, Harry Denwood Young; and sister, Helen Louise Hicks.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2023, 11 AM, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, June 2, 2023, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Father Jay McKee of the Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
