Frederick Carlton Goetz

Frederick Carlton Goetz, 77 years old, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Christiana Hospital of Newark, DE.  Born September 27, 1944 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late George and Irma Todd Goetz.

Mr. Goetz was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during the Vietnam war. He was recently an employee of the Home Depot of Glasgow, DE, and previously worked for the State Highway for many years.  Mr. Goetz loved doing woodwork, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Goetz is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jeanette B. Goetz; daughter, Tonya Varela; three nieces he considered his daughters, Shannon Buchanan, Jaime Robinson and Tonya Bailey; grandchildren, Rudy Varela, Daeshon Cain, Aaliyah Brown, Treyson Willinger, Asyah Brown, Amayah Rodgers, Braylon Robinson and Miyanah Buchanan; brothers, George Goetz and Carl Goetz; sister Joan Wyrick; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Goetz was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Goetz.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 18, 2022, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Ken Coleman of the Rising Sun Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
