Gary James Fitz

Gary James Fitz, 60 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at his residence. Born September 3, 1952 in Baltimore City, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Merle and Joan A. Dotterwetch Fitz. Gary was employed as a Locomotive Engineer, Supervisor Hazardous Materials Specialist and Inspector. He was a member of the Baltimore Bottle Club and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Zahner Fitz of Port Deposit, MD; four sisters-in-law, Terry Congdon, Judy Breitenbach, Peggy Kelly, Ginny Zahner; brother-in-law, Robert Kelly; nine nieces and nephews; five great nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Water Witch Volunteer Fire Company in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2013, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.
