George G. Fry

George G. Fry, 93 years, of Conowingo, MD, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born August 30, 1924 in Lancaster County, PA, he was the son of the late George H. and Attie Steele Fry. Mr. Fry is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy Hill Fry of Conowingo, MD; and son, Mark G. Fry of Holtwood, PA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict, attended the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church of Peach Bottom, PA, and is retired from the U.S. Government. Mr. Fry was a member of the Harmony Lodge No. 53 of Port Deposit, MD, the Port Deposit VFW Post No. 8185, and the Rising Sun American Legion Post No. 194 of Rising Sun, MD. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 3, 2018, 2 PM, at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church of Peach Bottom, PA. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, August 3, 2018, 1 PM until 2 PM, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Garfield L. Greene of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Peach Bottom, PA.
