George Benjamin Griffin, Sr.

George Benjamin Griffin, Sr., 79 yrs, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at his home. Born March 22, 1935 he was the son of the late Benjamin and Lucille Griffin. Mr. Griffin worked at Peach Bottom, PA, for 14 years. He was a General Foreman at Bechtel Nuclear Power Plant for 24 years. Mr. Griffin is survived by his five children, Tyrone Griffin, Tanya Honesty, Terri Griffin, George Griffin, Jr., and Melvin Griffin; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Ann Nocho Lee; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Cora Louise Honesty Griffin, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2014, 11 AM, at the First Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014, 9 AM until 11 AM, at the church prior to the funeral service.  Interment will be in Berkley Cemetery, Darlington, MD.
