George Milton Mefford

George Milton Mefford, 88 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at his residence. Born September 2, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Bishop Morris and Ruth Adreon Mefford.

George was formerly employed as a commercial underwater diver for various companies in Baltimore, MD.

George is survived by his son, Steven Mefford; daughter, Bernadine Mefford Synodinos; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and brother, Frederick M. Mefford.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his loving wife, Stella Mefford; brother, Harold M. Mefford; sisters, Rose Mefford Ellis, Dorothy Mefford Tusing, and Linda Mefford Fisher.

Interment is scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025 in the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens of Timonium, MD.
