Gladys Watson Way

Gladys Watson Way, 86 years, of Conowingo, MD, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in the Senator Bob Hooper Hospice House of Bel Air, MD. She was born March 28, 1931 in Chester County, PA, the daughter of the late Samuel Calvin and Eurith Ozella Green Watson. She was a graduate of Goldey Secretarial School and employed by DuPont and the Bainbridge Naval Training Center. She spent most of her years as a homemaker and caretaker of many children. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, James Francis Way, Jr., and wife, Laura, of Aberdeen, MD, David Michael Way and wife, Lynn, of Graniteville, SC, Mark Randall Way and wife, Robin, of Conowingo, MD; daughters, Mary Way Bolt, Dawn Marie Leonard and husband, Paul, and Ruth Way Moretz and husband, Brian, all of Colora, MD; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Francis Way, Sr.; son-in-law, Dan Bolt; brother, Clyde Ernest Watson; and sisters, Helen Margaret White, Virginia Pauline McMullen, Mary Watson Greer, and Dorothy Watson McIntosh. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2017, 12 Noon, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Colora, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2017, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Dr. David Burke of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Colora, MD.
