Ham Jefferson Thomas

Ham Jefferson Thomas, 86 yrs, of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at his residence.  Born July 31, 1927 in Woolwine, VA, he was the son of the late Callie H. and Cora Cockran Thomas. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Boyd Thomas of Elkton, MD; son, Shawn P. Thomas of Aberdeen, MD; six grandchildren, Derek Geoller, Lisa Jones, Jaime Thomas, Ashley Thomas Macre, Talon Thomas, Alexandra Thomas; one great grandchild, Adrianna Macre; brother, Melvin Thomas; sisters, Sylvia Bone, Mandy Morris and Janet Craig. Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was formerly employed as a welder at the Limerick Nuclear Plant in Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his sons, Carl J. Thomas and Gregory Thomas; and daughter, Georgia Thomas Goeller. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2014, 11 AM, at Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD.
