Harold M. Riale, Sr.

Harold M. Riale, Sr., age 66, a friend to many, passed away at his home in Perryville, MD, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Born July 23, 1951 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Stanley and Virginia Riale of Perryville, MD. Harold is survived by his loving son, Harold Riale, Jr., and his wife, Angela; daughter, Heather Riale and her mother, Shirley; brothers, Stanley “Spike” Riale and “Billy” W. Riale, Sr.; sisters, Delores Riale Reil, Rhoda Harvey, Anita Blackburn and Evelyn Jones; grandchildren, Leah McKinney, Chelsea McKinney, Kylee Riale and Christian Riale; along with many nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wesley Riale. Throughout his life Harold loved serving his community and was a dedicated life member of The Community Fire Company of Perryville, MD, where he held the past offices of EMS Captain, Fire Police Captain, Board of Director and served on many committees. Harold loved being “Santa” for the children of the community and seeing them smile when they saw “Santa” arriving on the fire truck to hear their Christmas wishes. In addition to serving as a volunteer at The Community Fire Company of Perryville, Harold was also a member of the Water Witch Fire Company and the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps. Harold’s other love in life was the game of baseball and he enjoyed being chief umpire for the Perryville Little League for many years. Most of all he loved the New York Yankees – Yankees All The Way! Harold never wavered from his beloved Yankees and could always be seen in his favorite Yankees baseball cap. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 26, 2018, 1 PM, at The Community Fire Company of Perryville Minker Hall. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018, 11 AM until 1 PM, at Minker Hall. Pastor Christopher Karschner, Sr.,  of the New Hope Baptist Church of Elkton, MD, will officiate. Interment will be private.
