Harry Leonard Mcmullen

Harry Leonard McMullen, 86 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Laurelwood Care Center, Elkton, MD.  Born June 15, 1926, in Rising Sun, MD, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Mary Louisa Alexander McMullen. Upon being discharged from the U.S. Army in 1946, Mr. McMullen went to work for Henkles & McCoy Contractors, working his last 28 yrs as a maintenance foreman at the Conowingo Dam retiring in 1992. Mr. McMullen is survived by his wife, Evelyn Delores Gullion McMullen; son, Russell K. McMullen and wife Laura of Port Deposit, daughters, Linda D. Wilson of Port Deposit, Denise A. Thomas and husband Lynn of Conowingo, Cathy M. Brown of Nottingham, PA, Mary M. Haglauer and husband John of Perryville; grandchildren, Debra L. Casamassina and husband Ralph, Christopher A. Brown, Brandon R. Thomas and companion Nicole Amig, Nathan A. Brown, Joseph W. Derrickson and Katelyn E. Derrickson; great grandchildren, Courtney Oikemus and Andrew Oikemus; sister, Elizabeth M. Deckman of Port Deposit, Pauline L. Tester of North East, Doris J. Rhodes of North East and many nieces and nephews. Mr. McMullen was close friends with David and Dotty Rhoades and their sons David Jr. and Corey Rhoades. In addition to his parents, Mr. McMullen was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde H. McMullen, Arthur A. McMullen; sisters, Mae V. McGongal, Frances L. Tapp, and Bessie A. Moore. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 2, 2012, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home.  Rev. Dr. Jay Bunting of Hopewell United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery of Port Deposit, MD. Arrangements By Lee A.
